3 questions:
What motivated you to join this partnership?
The CRA supports this partnership because we believe the central research question is consistent with our organization’s focus on advancing innovation in improving service to Canadians and increasing tax compliance.
What aspect of the research agenda are you most excited about?
We are particularly interested in contributing to Professors Soman and Robson’s research questions pertaining to the tax filing behaviour of low-income Canadians, as this ties in directly with the Government of Canada’s priority of ensuring that Canadians have access to the tax benefits to which they are entitled.
How do you plan to use the results from the research coming out of the partnership?
We hope that this partnership will allow us to further develop our own behavioural insights work, build expertise in behavioural insights within our extended community of practice, and produce a scientific framework to help us reduce behavioural frictions.
